Holidays Ahead

What a fantastic year 2025 was, really ending the writing with a bang like a Christmas cracker! The Māori Writers Hui from Ngā Kaituhi Māori at Poho-o-Rawiri was a huge success and so was Hui Kaituhi, the week long event for all writers and the combined Fundraiser Dinner. Those events culminated in an eBook AHI Dawn of Words (R. de Wolf $7.99 online), featuring work from 30+ writers who attended events - including rangatahi and debut writers alongside Witi Ihimaera, Haare Williams, Paula Morris and many of our hui superstars. Organising the hui and getting to work alongside amazing facilitators and writers was wonderful.

As if that wasn't enough, I got to attend the book launch of Pakirikiri 'He pā nō te katoa' by Kahu Pewhairangi-Paiti. I am really proud of the taonga she created for her marae and future generations and I was privileged to be part of the process.
